David and his team did an excellent job repairing and refinishing our floors. My husband and I had just purchased a new house that needed extensive repairs, including replacing multiple damaged boards. On top of that, the previous owners had done a very poor DIY stain job, so the floors were in extremely rough shape.
David came out for an estimate the day after we contacted him and was able to start the following Monday, finishing everything within a week—which was incredibly helpful given our tight move-in timeline. His team was consistently prompt, arriving at 7:30 each morning, and he kept us informed by texting updates throughout the day and when they were finished and locked up.
David was extremely knowledgeable and clearly takes pride in his work. He didn’t cut corners and used high-quality equipment, stains, and finishes throughout the project. He was also very straightforward about costs from the beginning. While some aspects of the work were understandably pricey, he found ways to save us money where possible. He provided updated estimates as the project progressed and walked us through any unexpected discoveries along the way, which we really appreciated—there were no surprises.

We recently had a hardwood floor installed in our home study by JAK Flooring. We are very pleased with the outcome. David Vargas, the owner, was wonderful to work with. He was communicative, prompt in his responses to questions, patient, and accommodating to our concerns and preferences. The job was completed in three days, which involved the removal of old carpeting, leveling and preparation of the subfloor, sanding and final finishing. Meticulous cleanup was done after each workday and there was no dust left anywhere. Thank you, David, for a job well done!

JAK Wood Flooring did an excellent job refinishing the floors in our dining room and living room. We wanted to match the stain in our living room that had white oak flooring with the older red oak flooring in the adjoining room and the match was spot on. The owner explained the process and the potential alternative stains we had to choose from. The staff is skilled, hard working, and cleaned up after each day of work. The owner is polite, knowledgeable, professional, and seems to enjoy his craft. I would highly recommend them.
